About The Original Dog Company

It started with a promise.

After losing our first dog just months after bringing her home, we were reminded how quickly everything can change. Her passing wasn’t related to food, but it shifted the way we thought about caring for our dogs. We decided that when we welcomed another dog into our lives, we would be intentional about what we fed them.

No guesswork. No shortcuts.

We couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for, so we built it ourselves.

As we searched for better options, we realized how hard it was to find treats that felt both exciting and trustworthy. We wanted single ingredient options. Harder to find proteins. Products we could stand behind without hesitation.

What began as something deeply personal slowly turned into The Original Dog Company.

If it carries our name, it meets our standards.

We don’t aim to sell everything. We aim to offer what we would confidently feed our own dogs. That’s it.

At the end of the day, this is simply a business built by two dog parents who care about what goes into the bowl.
